Vampires hunted discussion thread I think this would be a good place to ask questions and talk about the things mentioned in the Vampires Hunted RPG thread. Feel free to discuss whatever you would like as long as it follow whatever rules may apply. Keep in mind not to discuss any secret doings here else they will no longer be secrets.

My question(s) is/are...
In the first post, how many of those mentioned were NPC's? PC's?
Also, do we have the same liberties in NPC usage as was displayed in said post?

They were all npcs..... Player characters mean that a player is using them... Drak is the gm, and thus runs npc's And npc;s can be as powerful as they need to be to aide the story.
Player characters such as us, must adhere to the rules, most npc's do as well, but some npc's can break the rules if it enriches, or helps the story.
I hope that answers your questions. o:)

they are all NPC's as mash said this is just to get the story going muhahahahahahaha

i have a question!
Raccool- 02-08-2006
Then say, "Watashi wa shitsumon ga arimasu!"
Or, if you prefer to read it normally: 「私 は しつもん が あります。」

Where did that come from? :o
Wakarimasen. :(

is it bad that in the role playing angel wants to sleep with everyone.. except mash? lol cause you guys are all soooo hot.. :-s and angel needs some attention.. . ;)
Mashekle- 02-17-2006
nope its just fine. lol
And mash only sleeps with women who dont randomly bleed :)

Just so we all know this.
We cannot describe any place, without gm approval. Except for of course our own house car etc..
If a gm sends you some where, it is the GM's job to describe that place.

NPC's that small talk is ok to engage in with.
John the bar tender.
Mack the inn keeper
Meg the waitress at the bloody blade.
You may engage them in small talk as long as its just that. Meaningless small talk. You cant make them say how amazing you are, or how much they wish they could touch your crotch. ;)
Also you may assume that the bar is .... a bar... It has tables chairs a karaoke stage (a small stage with a mic, and a big screen t.v.) etc.. Drak will describe it in more detail.
Which brings me to my next point. Anything that drak has described we can interact with. If she describes an office to have a plant, well you can admire or lick the plant if you want :) If she didnt put it there and its not something that is extremely fundamental to the scene, then dont assume it is there.
A pool will have a deep end, and showers. A hotel will have a front desk, and rooms etc.. However assuming that the pool has a diving board is a bad thing. We need our gm to be very descriptive with us, but we also need to ask her via pm's or messenger etc... before making assumptions.

Ive just realized something....
Combat needs a slight bit of a random factor. As it stands now characters will always do the same dmg with every hit, until their stats or weapon change (for weapon attacks.) So I think I need to add a small randomness to all attacks so that we can get a less predictable battle. Not by much but at least a small bit will help.
As it is now I already know that I will win the current fight with spenser. Neither of us can miss one another because of our stats, and because I have higher life and got the first hit, mathematically its now impossible for me to lose the sparring round. (Neither of us has landed a critical, that would have changed the results.) I think a bit of a randomness factor would help to make the game less mechanical and more realistic.
Also drak has assigned me the duty of battle master. (Shes gone to much to continually roll up battle dmgs etc..)
Also a note on sparring. Characters may spar each other any time with no fear of death. o:)
spenser- 03-16-2006
I was wondering about the random factor. cause all games with battles such as this need the element of luck mixed in with them.
spenser- 03-16-2006
I was also thinking that since there is no element in the game that will do this for us we need to play the part of our injuries, like if someone gets there arm dislocated, and it then pops back into place, your not going to be in a hurry to use that arm again.
Nakashima- 03-16-2006
sounds hot to me. :-s
Mashekle- 03-17-2006
Well we have had a sort of unwritten law, that we may make official.
Basically if you get hit with a critical hit that does a good amount of dmg to you, you can get a joint dislocated, or a broken limb etc...
We may work this out and post it on the main site soon if people want it. :-s
