I have been holding off on this, because I was afraid that some of you might take this the wrong way. SO DONT TAKE IT THE WRONG WAY! right

Rules for freeform roleplaying.

You are allowed to control, introduce , etc. npc's. You can even sometimes make other chars say something. This form is pretty much a free for all in which no one ever dies unless they want to.

Rules for structured role playing.

- You never control, or introduce, or talk for any npc ever. No "the man turned to mashekle and blah blah blah....." Only the gm can do anything with non player characters.

- You ONLY control yourself. Period, no one else, no npc's, no one but you no matter what.

- You do not ever say that you hit someone, or grab them, or jump accross a chasm , or fly up a wall, etc.. You instead say that you try to, or attempt to , etc.. "I fly up the wall, and drop my knives on her nose." Thats a very wrong statement, as it assumes that you suucceed, and ONLY the gm can tell you that. "I turn around, and walk to the wall, and attempt to fly up it, to drop my daggers on her nose.." Is accurate.

- You may do mundain things all you want, without gm approval. Walking, smiling, talking, knocking on a wall, etc.. Just nothing that is combat oriented, or involves acrobatics / gymnastics, etc.. ;)

Now then, we may need to edit some of the posts already in the vampires game due to this new knowlege, but hey its all good. Kiss owow

Oh, if you want an npc in the game, just talk to the gm, and she can bring them in, also talk to the gm if you and another player want to be related, or lovers, or whatever, in the past. Or to start the game as lovers etc..

But you dont need to talk to the gm to develope a love, or friendship in game.

these are basic rules that are the foundation of every PnP (pen and paper) Role playing game for the past 30 years. ;)

Started long ago, games like DnD made it a huge hit. We've been role playing for years now, and the free style method yu'ns use is very new to us. ;) And weird. WOOT!

We will work with you guys and make sure we all get it. No one will get in trouble for messing, up we will simply point it out, and smile and move on, no biggy. ITS GONNA BE FUN WEWT! owow owow =; =; wow wow

quick question,

how will we know what the gamemaster decides will happen to our character? will it be a second post? will they edit our post like the red words below them right now? or will we have to look somwhere else? (it just looks like a lot of questions, the first one is the only real one you have to pay attention to ;) )

Or..... we could have a second thread just for revisions and/or GM matters. Whereas that thread is just for the roleplaying.

Also..... Is it just me or does it seem like it'll take forever to have a battle or a conversation? What I propose is.... instead of having a post for each swing or comment, why not use one of the many programs at our disposal to hash things out between the characters and the GM before they post. We have MSN, Grouper (copy and paste), e-mail, PMs, IMVU (maybe), GW (screenshots), WoW (also screenshots), even Skype (chat it out then type the results) that we could use to communicate and record what was said to show to the GM for approval. And with some of those, the GM could sit in and listen and give input during the discussion. Why not use those methods to get things straight before they're posted in the forums? This way, the thread isn't 3103 pages long and we don't all have to look at each others mistakes (no worries Eliander, it happens to everyone). But hey! That's just my opinion.

because nihko we have lots of people with defrant scheduls and they won't beable to atend and that would cause some people to be left out besides what's wrong with 3103 pages I kinda like the forums haveing lots of post it looks beter and more intreasting..

Ok guys, as you could see the gm didnt really have a cohesive story when she posted her first post, so we are going to start this whole thing over.

She promises to write us an amazing adventure, and to give us all a reason to unite, and fight, a reason and a good beginning. Therefore the old thread will be locked, and she will soon post a new one with an awesome adventure.

So until then free form role play on the other thread, or start your own role playing thread. owow

OMG! You TOTALLY didn't get what i was saying. What i was saying was that instead of posting a million times to have a conversation or a fight, you talk to the person beforehand, set up a time when the two of you (with the possibility of the GM sitting in) could hash out the details of the conversation, have it in writing so there's no confusion, then one of them posts the entire conversation or fight or whatever in one post. This way we don't have to search through a bunch of posts in order to find something that we're looking for or have to change pages every 10 lines of dialog. I'm not suggesting that we all meet up in one place at one time! That would be just plain stupid! (btw, how are the guild "meetings" going?)

give it up it will never happen cause it can't work we can't have batels the way you want cause all members in the role playing have to get a chance to be involved and with what you want to do there are some people that would never get a chance and there for would never get beter equipment and that is just not fair. it won't be as bad as you think most forum RPG are done this way any DnD forum RPG for exp it works out just fine the world won't end and it will still be fun just give it a chance before you start doom saying it ok
